Geri Horner finds Mel B's sex claims "disappointing" and "very hurtful"

As promised, Geri Horner (previously known as Geri Halliwell, aka the infamous Ginger Spice) has finally addressed former bandmate Mel B's comments about them once having a sexual relationship.

Mel B – also known as Scary Spice – made headlines when she confessed to Piers Morgan that she and Geri once had a fling, back when The Spice Girls were at the height of their fame and success.

"She's going to hate me for this. But it's a fact. It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it," she said on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.

"It was just that once. And hopefully when Geri gets asked that, which hopefully she will after this, she won't deny it. Because it was just a fun thing."

However, Geri did indeed try to deny it, and has now released an official statement via a spokesperson…

"It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumors again, especially on Mother's Day of all days,” a rep for Geri Horner told E! News.

“She would like you to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family."

The rep continued to say that although Geri and her husband have found Mel B’s comments "hurtful," there are no hard feelings, and Geri is just happy to put it behind her and move on with the upcoming tour…

"Moving forward, Geri can't wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories," the rep continued.

"Geri is really grateful for your support and loyalty for so many years. She loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria."

However, new developments have shown that all isn’t necessarily as rosy as Geri’s rep initially made out. According to insiders, Mel B is furious that Geri has made her look like a “liar”…

“Mel is totally perplexed by Geri’s denials. Mel feels Geri is making her out to be a liar,” an insider told The Mirror.

“It’s almost as if she is trying to erase history.”

We have a feeling the rehearsals for their upcoming reunion tour are going to be a tad awkward…
