Jussie Smollett accused of staging hate crime attack in a bid to keep his job on Empire

Empire star Jussie Smollett has been accused of staging last month's attack in Chicago, following rumors that he would be written off the show.

However, FOX was quick to silence and dismiss the rumors, calling them “patently ridiculous”…

“The idea that Jussie Smollett has been, or would be, written off of Empire is patently ridiculous,” read a statement from FOX.

“He remains a core player on this very successful series and we continue to stand behind him.”

According to several sources, police are also currently investigating whether Jussie Smollett and the two suspects staged the attack…

“Media reports about the Empire incident being a hoax are unconfirmed by case detectives,” the Chicago Police Department said in a statement.

“Supt Eddie Johnson has contacted @ABC7Chicago to state on the record that we have no evidence to support their reporting and their supposed CPD sources are uninformed and inaccurate.”

Yesterday, Chicago Police Department Chief Communications Officer Anthony Guglielmi said that detectives may have identified some “persons of interest” that may be key to the case…

“Through a meticulous investigation, #ChicagoPolice detectives have identified the persons of interest in the area of the alleged attack of the Empire cast member,” he wrote on Twitter.

“These individuals are not yet suspects but were in area of concern and are being questioned. Investigation continues.

“Important for media reporting: The people of interest are alleged to be in the area where a crime was reported. They are not considered suspects at this time as they are currently being questioned by detectives.

“We remain in communication with the alleged victim.”

We’re glad that the police are still trying to crack the case.

And even more glad that Jussie Smollett isn’t leaving the show!

Keep posting things of this nature, it help weed out the undercover racist looking to fetishize the blackwomen. I for one have come across several, I'm sure the rest will be weeded out.
