Bowling, Hours of Talk, and Something Real

After a few years on the site — searching through profiles, navigating the slow grind of online dating — both Kimberley ("Kitana305") and Robert ("Matt4343") had learned to be patient. Neither was rushing. And that patience, it turns out, was exactly what it took.

Robert made the first move, reaching out with both an email and a Flirt. It was Kimberley's profile that caught his eye — her pictures, and something more he couldn't quite put into words. Their first date was at Savanna Blue, over dinner. Whatever nerves either of them had going in didn't last long. Kimberley sized Robert up quickly: tall, good-looking, confident. Robert's first thought was simpler still: "She's beautiful." But what neither expected was just how much they had in common.

"We had so many things in common," Kimberley says, still a little surprised by it. Robert puts it differently: "We could talk for hours." And they did.

The distance — about an hour between them — was the one real obstacle. But it never felt insurmountable, especially after that third date. They went bowling, and somewhere between frames, Kimberley felt it: this was something different. For Robert, the moment came when Kimberley visited his home for the first time. The conversation flowed, easy and unforced, the way it does when you've found someone who genuinely gets you.

Now, both feel it. Kimberley says she finally feels seen and cared about. Robert says he just wants to keep doing things with her — new things, small things, all of it.
